The World of A Capella

I was so surprised the day my friend told me about European a capella groups, such as the Swedish group, Riltons Vänner and the German group, the Wise Guys! Imagine this! In today's world of over-produced, gimmicky sound tracks, there are people who are brave and good enough to use just their voices and vocal sounds to make music! And, these groups are popular! This music is so strong and pure! It's just so much fun!

Riltons Vänner is the group my friend told me about first. My friend went to the same music gymnasium as they did. Isn't the lead singer pretty? I wonder if all Swedish girls look like that? ^^ Here is their song: Längtar till sommarn. It means, "Longing for Summer", which the Swedes must do after the long, dark winter.


Here is one from the incomparable and amazing Wise Guys. They usually have some kind of satirical "edge" to their songs. The title of this song is: Jetzt und hier. "Here and Now".
