Singing

This morning I was listening to my friend's recording of his school chorus. Gosh, they were good! As I listened I heard all the earnest, young voices! Singing is such a more personal thing than playing an instrument. Your voice is part of you. Your very soul and your emotions and everything come out when you sing. Listening to choral singing is one of my greatest pleasures. And, singing in choirs has provided me with some amazing and wonderful musical experiences.

I am not sure agree; I think most musicians identify with their instruments so well that the instrument is their voice.

Michael, Thanks for your comment! My blog seems less lonely now.

Hmm, I have heard that about instrumental musicicans. I'm still not sure. Maybe it's because I couldn't believe my real voice sounds squeaky and scratchy like my violin!!

I would love to hear what others think!

Maybe your voice is a double bass or a cello!
