Occasionally, I become obsessed with a song and I play it over and over. Do you? This time it's Too Rich For My Blood by Patricia Barber. She's a Chicago jazz pianist/singer/composer. The song, below, is from her album, Cafe Blue. What she does with her voice in the middle of the song is truly amazing. The end of the song is unique!

Dear Liz,
I visited your blog for the first time, this is so good. I will come again. Thank you:)
Yes, Liz, I do that too. Sometimes it's just one song, but more often it's a whole album. I put it on repeat, and listen to it over and over. It drives to distraction those around me, but it sends me into bliss! My recent favorite is El Año Viejo by Son Parranda.
